Default The Best Player of All Time in the NBA was Not Michael Jordan according to ESPN

It was Karrem Abdul Jabbar who played Center for the Lakers. He scored 39,000 career points and had the same number of NBA titles that Michael Jordan had which was 6. Not to mention the number of All Star Games Karrem Appeared in. So Jabbar's accomplishments stands out to me more than Jordan's. Anyone agree?

NO I don't agree with YOU or ESPN. Being that basketball is one of my least favorite sports, I could care less who is a better player. But i will say this Jordan is a money player, and i will take that over stats any day.

I don't know if you realize this or not but NBA players are judged on their accomplishments in the postseason-not highlights. And Jabbar's postseason accomplishments makes him the MAN!!!!!!

Uh...if you remember, ESPN did that sportscentury thing that revealed the 50 best athletes. And who number 1? Michael Jordan.

But I am wondering something, who and what show was this said on?

It was on SportsCenter, Jabbar's stats were compared to MJ's and they both had 6 NBA titles but Jabbar scored 39,000 career points to jordan's 32,000.

If you want to go by stats, kareem shines more, if you go by moves, then jordan shines. Jabbar played 20 seasons-regardless 39,000 is remarkable. Here is the thing that is really amazing about Jabbar, he scored all of those points with ONE move-the sky hook.

Jabbar doesn't hold the record for the most MVP titles for the NBA Finals. As far as I know, Jabbar has not done any ads nor has he become a spokesman for such companies as Nike, Ballpark, Hanes, etc. He has not played two professional sports. Jordan has done all these things. He is #1 to me. That's my opinion.

Well i will take Jabbar because he had the most creative and effective move in the history of the NBA. The skyhook-better known as the killer hook

Solomon everybody knows you're a Michael Jordan hater so that's why you're going with Kareem as the best basketball player of all time. Michael is the best NBA player of all time in my opinion. The man has done so much for basketball, there is nobody in the history of the league who has accomplished as much as this man has. I don't care how many career points Kareem has scored, he ain't even on Jordan's level. Jordan is #1 & always will be. Kareem's skyhook shot was unstoppable though.
