Post If you could spend one day in the Cleaver home...

If you could spend one day in the Cleaver home....what would you do?
My answer: I'd head straight for the kitchen and snag some cookies from the cookie jar. Then I grab a few more from the cookie drawer. I'd check out the fridge, grab a sandwich, (made with June's leftover pot roast), and sit at the table with the checkered table cloth. I'd sit at Ward's desk and then go exploring upstairs. I'd jump on Ward and June's bed (even though I'm not supposed ta) and sprinkle dirt in the bath tub. I'd steal Wally's comb, kiss his pillow, and check the pockets in Beav's little jacket. I would watch TV on the old black and white, make a crank phone call to Eddie's house, and I don't know what else. Then I would make sure to lock the front door, then walk down the brick path leading from the house, humming the theme song all the way. Corny, I know, but what the heck?

First like you I'd go to the kitchen.I'd get that keg of pickles Ward had in that episode where Wally gets a job. Then I'd go upstairs and look around then I'd go to Ward's den and play with his papers and eavesdrop.
Then Id's spend the rest of the night watching the classic 50's prime-time.Then I'd sleep in Ward and June's bed.In the morning I'd make some flapjacks! Then I'd go out the door on the pathway and smile like the did in the last seasons' opening credits then I'd hum a long get in the car (though I'm to young)then I'd toilet paper Eddie's house! then of course I'd go back to the home and lock up and head for Lucy and Ricky's apartment!or Connecticut house witch ever one comes first!

Well, if the Cleavers were actually there, I'd probably talk to them for quite a bit and then go upstairs and talk to Beaver and Wally. But they probably wouldn't want some "goofy grownup" bothering them!!! That would be so cool to be in that house, though!

Many years ago I was on the Universal Studios tour in Hollywood and they drive you right past the Cleaver house which was also used for "Father Knows Best"!

It's amazing seeing a thread from 2001. They talked so differently back then

If I was a kid again I would want to hang out with Beaver and Wally. But at my age I'd have to be having coffee with Ward and June. Though I'd have to be careful not to make a comment about June's pearls.

I'd go into the kitchen and have a hunk of cake and some milk and watch June clean her pearls!

While sitting in front of the black and white TV with the big hunk of cake and glass of milk in front of me...... I would have Wally sitting beside me on the sofa and I would be rubbing his curly hair.

I'd just hang out with the Cleavers, Eddie, Lumpy, etc. I would NOT let Wally cut my hair, however.

And don't play chess with Eddie, or let him park your car. Don't offer to look after Lumpy's watch. Don't help Larry look for change in his yard. Don't stand next to Gilbert when taking pictures. Don't let Richard use oil for his baseball glove. And don't make any phone calls with Gilbert and Alan.

Exactly. I WOULD stand under the window when the money, which had supposedly fallen out of an airplane, floated down to the ground.

Also if you are going out crusing you may not want to ride in one of Lumpy's care, because you may end up pushing it back home.

This is very true. Lumpy is surely not the brightest bulb on the block!

Indeed. His interactions with his dad, Fred (Richard Deacon) were gold.
