LOS ANGELES (Zap2it.com) - With "Friends," "ER" and "Frasier" all looking towards the exit door at NBC, it's about time for another network to start losing some of its standy-bys as well. "Everybody Loves Raymond" star Ray Romano hints to the AP that he may be considering pulling a "Seinfeld," saying, "The trick is to get out when you're still wanted. Not too soon, but not too late." Currently in its eighth season, Romano says that the show is hard work and that he feels that it's started repeating itself, while crediting the writers for keeping things fresh by mining their own lives for scripts. |

I think ending "Raymond" while it's still on top is a good idea.
In my opinion, every sitcom begins to run out of steam after five or six seasons. So instead of a top rated show sliding in the ratings, and eventually get cancelled, they should leave on their own terms. I think every sitcom or drama should follow the "Star Trek" rule. Seven seasons, then out. |

I think it's time for them to quit. They're using the same tired plotlines and jokes over and over again and all they seem to do now is bitch and moan to and about each other. Robert and Amy's upcoming wedding is the only thing that's been keeping me watching.

Though I still prefer Trapper and Radar, I agree with everything else TJL said.

I agree, end it while it is still on top. Nobody wants to end like Roseanne or Drew Carrey.

It's time for Raymond to end. The stories aren't fresh anymore. I'm finding the repeats during the week to be more entertaining than the new episodes on Mondays.
One more season (2003-2004) and the show should call it quits. |

It's time for Raymond to end. I agree with the above posters...
I am tied of the mean-spirited storylines that the writers seem to fall back on too much lately. The writers have made us all aware that Debra is a loser..she can't cook, clean or take care of her family. And in the process, they have made Debra a nut case. The shows aren't funny anymore. If this show is too keep on going another season, the writers need to dig deep and work on stories that represent funny slices of family life...instead of Marie bad-mouthing Debra non-stop. Ray needs to stand up and tell his mom to shut the %$## up. Of course that really wouldn't be comedy... And how many time can we hear "holy crap" and laugh? |
