Were some episodes filmed before others? Cause I remember in the 3rd Season in Dances With Darlene Becky had the real short haircut then in The Pied Piper Of Lanford(the episode are Dances with Darlene) her hair was long again.

If you go to TVTOME.com for example, and click episode list for Roseanne you will see a list of production numbers for the season. That is the order in which they were filmed.

I remember very clearly that Becky also had short hair in The Pied Piper of Lanford.

In season three Lecy got sick of having long hair, just before taping she complained to Roseanne that the producers wouldn't let her cut it, so Roseanne got the scissors and asked her how short she wanted and cut it, then told the hair person to finish it off.

Unfortunately they didn't film in air date order cause her hair went from long to short to long again. That's why they wouldn't let her cut her hair.
