For those familiar with the 1988 kidnapping of Annie Hearin (which was featured on UM during the 1988-89 season), the Discovery channel series FBI FILES will be featuring an episode about the case this coming Tuesday, April 22. It will be shown on the Discovery channel at 10 PM that evening. Miss it not.

Many thanks, Kane! That's one of those cases that continues to scare the dickens out of me when I see it. I heard that Annie's hubby died a few years ago without ever knowing what happened to her.
I cannot wait to watch the case, perhaps there is an update.

the FBI has a strong suspect but was never able to convict him.
the discovery channel webpage reads: When the wife of Robert Hearin, a wealthy Mississippi man, disappeared in 1988, the unusual ransom note provided clues to the captor. The suspect, Alfred Winn, was involved in one of Hearin's companies and information from the IRS helped seal the case. njf |
