Default Sitcom Characters That Have Done Drugs

What sitcom characters do you know have that have done drugs, whether it was meant to be funny or serious?

- There was an entire episode of The Simpsons where Homer was smoking marijuana, basically becoming a pothead.

- Alex Keaton of Family Ties was taking amphetimines so he could stay awake to prepare for a big exam.

That's all I can think of right now.

Steve the doobie smoker on FRIENDS (played hilariously by John Lovitz).

The blue sky, the desert earth, stretching out into the eerie infinity. A beautiful never-ending nothing.

Believe it or not, Mary Richards got hooked on sleeping pills once. The episode was called "Mary's Insomnia" and, IMO, it's one of the best eps. of the series.

On The Golden Girls Rose was addicted to ... nerve pills I think? I've only seen that particular episode once so I'm not quite sure. But the girls stayed up overnight with her one night to try and drain her from the medication.

Patsy and Edina on AbFab are always drinking and/or popping pills.

Paul took some sleeping pills in the birthday flashback episode of "Mad About You".

Gale on my "Gabaldi Bound" series is a recovering drug addict. In the episode "Cookies" she learns that she consumed drug-laced cookies at Brian's family reunion.

I don't think anyone on "Curb Your Enthusiasm" have done drugs yet.

Archie on All In The Family took some uppers where he had to go to the hospital to get it out of his system. That was the episode where everything went wrong at his bar.

Very true. That was a powerful episode. Carroll O'Connor at the end when his addiction blew open when he broke down definitely gave a powerful performance on that one.

On Roseanne Dan, Roseanne and Jackie found some old weed and smoked it. It was hilarious but in the end they decided not to ever do that again.

What about the Simpsons and Family Guy episodes that both contained licking those poisonous toads, sending the person into a phycedellic stupor.

And of course there's Homer, Barneys, and Peter Griffin (Family Guy) who are all raging alcoholics.

Simpsons, Rod and Todd Flanders both get a hold of pixie stix and go insane.

Cool

... and one of the more obvious examples - those nutty kids on that 70's show.

Dave on "Titus" was often followed around by the "marijuana cam"

Brandon on 90210 took some - by accident. Hmm, there are an awful lot, arent there.

Tiffani on California Dreams was addicted to steroids.

Jesse on Saved By The Bell was addicted to caffeine pills.

Those are the only ones I could think of for now.
