I don't know if they ever specifically mentioned it, but I always assumed he was an accountant. Somebody post some confirmation or other possible guesses..

I did read somewhere that Ward worked for an accounting firm.Although(chuckle)you have to see many episodes to find out,because Ward's job was probably only mentioned once.

In the episode where Lump drives Wally's dad's car to the track meet and they take route 7 (there is one that runs along Ohio and West Virginia border on the Ohio side, also interesting to note that there is a "Beavertown" along the route as well as a Beaver Creek State Park, but didn't locate Camelback Cutoff), there are several shots of Mr. Cleaver in his office and it looks like a DIPLOMA or something hanging on the wall behind him!! I have a 52" screen t.v., but I still couldn't quite make out the text. Anybody have a bigger screen or the technology to read the diploma to tell us what Ward's degree was?
