Just realized that Gidget is the same as Forrest Gump's momma!

Many people probably know it because Forrest Gump's mother was played by Sally Field.
Great movie though.

Sally Field also voiced the Sassy the cat in the "Homeward Bound" movies in the 1990's.
She can play any role.
Even Heather Grahm's character's mom in "Say It Isn't So".

Sally Field is a wonderful actor. She can play just about any kind of role. And she has received two Academy Awards for her talent and skill.

And, yes I did know she played Mother Gump.

Directed BEAUTIFUL,the last film for the very short lived and ill fated independed 1999-2000 distributor/'producer Destination Films (leaving only USA films, Artisan, Lions Gate and of course DreamWorks productions as the major independents) and will be in Reese Witherspoon's sequel to LEGALLY BLONDE; LEGALLY BLONDE 2:RED WHITE AND BLONDE-Reese'll exuective produce the movie (with some returnging costars like Jennifer Coolidge from BEST IN SHOW and MIGHT WIND both by Chris Guest and composer Rolfe Kent who worked on ELECTIOn, an earlier (and veyr hilarious) unreleated Reese movie)

(BEAUTIFUL starred Minnie Driver.)

Sally Field has reached new horizons since her role as Gidget. She has appeared in countless movies, and she really is quite the actress, if I don't say so myself.

She's so versatile. She also starred in "Not Without My Daughter"- probably her most dramatic role to date (next to "Steel Magnolias" and "Forrest Gump", that is).
