How many think that Wilma's birth to Pebbles is very similar to the "I Love Lucy" episode when Lucy gives birth to Little Ricky??? The part where they deal with what would happen if Wilma was ready to go to the hospital where Barney pretends he is Wilma, and Betty making a fake phone call to the hospital is exactly the same thing when Ethel made the phone call on I Love Lucy. When Wilma said I'm ready, everybody gets mixed up,everyone runs around with the luggage. Fred calls the hospital and tells them,"Hello, hospital,I'm taking my wife to the Flintstones". Then Fred looks for Wilma and looks in the bedroom and accidentally picks up Dino by mistake and the policeman that stops him for speeding said that you sure know how to pick them. Then Barney and Wilma get in the same car, then Fred goes off in his own car leaving them alone, then Barney and Wilma go to the hospital together. When Fred went to the hospital,he goes through the revolving doors and accidentally goes into the hotel across the street. Hilarious episode

It's a great scenerio, and perfect build up for hilarious comedy. It was great in both shows. It made me practice for my own child, so I wouldn't do the same foul ups as our TV chums. There's nothing like being calm, cool and collected, and hearing those magic words, "IT'S TIME!!!!"

lol I liked that ep. Me too, only Pebbles wound up being more of a "shark-jumper" than crowd pleaser, though I still like some of the episodes..Not a fan of some of the more sentimental ones.. PS Jenny please come back, okay? |
