about teenagers in the new millenium? This is a question that is food for thought. How would they react to rap music and heavy metal. Just for a moment imagine a time warp and all of a sudden the '50's version of Ward and June Cleaver were placed here in the year 2001 how would the Cleavers react to how teenagers are in this day in time. Would they be open to the idea of "safe sex"? Would they be comfortable having to deal with lecturing the Beaver on the dangers of Marijuana and Crack cocaine. Honestly I think if they were placed in this millenium as they were then they both would have nervous breakdowns. I can just picture the episode when Beaver comes out of the closet! The Cleavers would pull up and move. There is no way June could show her face in public if the Beav was "funny". Like I said this is just food for thought and I am interested in seeing what all of you think.

I can only say thank God June and Ward aren't around, to see the things teenagers do today!They could not even have imagined such behavior. I really wish all teenagers could act like they did at Mayfield High. Even Eddie Haskell was an angel, by todays standards!

This topic didn't really get a lot of attention when it was posted. Really it's quite an interesting question. To answer the question, I'm gonna agree with sami dg. They would def. have nervous breakdowns.

It's scary to think of what kids are going to be like 40 years from now. I shudder when I think about it.

Geez, you can say that again. I'm 19 and I can admit we're going downhill. It is scary to think about how it'll be in 40 years. Honesty time, no, I'm not saying all teenagers are troublemakers. All I'm saying is look at your news. Read your newspapers. Don't you see a lot of teens getting arrested for dangerous stuff? I know this one guy, and this is even scary that I knew the guy. He's going to jail for like 40 years for a rape case. So you have a 19 year old going to jail and he's doing crap like that at his age. Frankly, I think jail is too easy. I think the world should have heavier punishment, but that's jmo, I'm not gonna get into it here.

And again, I'm not saying all teenagers are bad people. Some are quite decent and nice. I wouldn't consider myself a bad person. I'm not into the partying scene, so I don't do drugs, don't get wasted every other night. I haven't gotten arrested. My problems are the cussing too much, that's it. Cussing isn't exactly making me model citizen. But at least I don't have my butt in a jail cell for robbing somebody or getting totally wasted. Life is gentle. You're an idiot if you do something so bad at such a young age and you end up flushing your life down the toilet.

I've gotten way off topic, so I'll send this post on its way. This post is jmo, btw.
