LITB doesn't usually make me sad, but many scenes in "Beaver and Andy," about the alcoholic handyman, were sad.

The show often makes me smile, an example being in the first episode when Wally forges the note for Beaver's teacher ostensibly from their parents. They haven't read the letter that was sent home with Beaver, so Wally tries to write a response to cover every possibility.

The scene where Beaver is up in the giant soup bowl on the billboard was pretty funny.

I also like the scene where Wally and Eddie secretly chain Lumpy's car to a tree and he tries to drive it away, leaving half the car still chained to the tree.

Well, this is not a sad moment, it's a very touching one. One of my favorite LITB moments is in the episode "Most Interesting Character" when Ward reads what Beaver has written about him! I want to just cry my eyes out every time I see that it's SO SWEET!

One of my favorite LITB moments is in "Captain Jack." When they take Captain Jack, to the alligator farm, and when they come back home, there's a dog waiting for Wally and Beaver.

I also like that part in "Most Interesting Character."

All the sweet or sad moments really happened during the earlier seasons, don't you think so? When the Beaver and Wally were younger, and cute. Weren't that many when they were almost grown up.

What about the one where Beaver runs away after drilling holes in the garage with Larry? Imagine how scared he must have been walking out the front door into the darkness and Ward acting like he didn't even care.

Oh yeah, I love the hunting jacket ep. I also like the one where Aunt Martha makes Beav wear short pants and Ward helps him get changed in the garage.

Yes Frani. THe episode where Aunt Martha has beaver where the short pants. Gosh I am really amazed that beaver did so well. He got teased, pushed and made fun of at school, I would have cried but beaver didn't get too emotional about it. I would have died.
At the end when ward helps beaver change his clothes, He said to his dad. something to effect Gee dad doing this make me feel you're one of the guys. I thougt that made ward feel good about his son.
Another episode I find a bit emotional is an later episode when Beaver goes to the award banquet and claims all the guys will dress casual. Ward puts in the back of the trunk a suit and later beaver finds the guys were wrong about the style of dress.
I always wonder if Beaver thanked his dad for helping him out for early in the episode beaver was so sure his shirt and sweater clothes would be good enough.
