How bout Religion, or The Industrial Revolution, or any Revolution! Sex, How bout Karl Marx or Adam Smith?? The Human Body, Sports, Animals...you should do it on Monkeys or Cats or the Tapeworm, or Dancing. maybe Malnutrition or how clouds are formed. You could also try and write about Cereal, I love cereal. How bout Amy Davidson? well thats sort of entertainment......Ughhh maybe you could write about Healthcare or the Education system. Or you could write about Cars!!!!! I dunno....did she say anything in paticular?

How about a human study on the intricacies of adoption. The birth mother's right to privacy. The child's desires to find their biological roots. You can try and provide statistics on successful reunions or reunions gone wrong. Quotes from both adopted people who would rather not know who their real parents are, and women who in the end regretted giving their baby away. Maybe there are stories online of women who tried to reverse the adoption and get their child back. Maybe babies that were later kidnapped by their birth mothers. Or teens who ran away from their adoptive parents. You could cover illegal adoptions, like the Lisa Steinberg case, which resulted in the death of a child. Overseas adoptions of foreign children. The long arduous screening process of adopting a child. Background checks, psychological evaluations of applicants, financial requirements. I'd imagine the web would be chock-full of useful information.

Lightbulb re: composition ideas

Write about how many works of dystopian fiction strongly resemble current realities in this world.

"1984" --George Orwell
"Brave New World" --Aldous Huxley
"We" --Eugene Zamyatin
"The Trial" --Franz Kafka
"A Handmaid's Tale" --Margaret Atwood

Dystopian fiction deals with future societies that are the total opposite of utopias. "1984" was a perfect example.

Hannah's not allowed to write about entertainment. Which proves my point about dystopias.

Btw, a utopia is a perfect society, and a dystopia is one that is harsh and repressive, like a totalitarianism.

Well, besides entertainment, what kind of stuff are you interested in? You could write about art, true crime, your favorite author or maybe you could interview someone who was raised in a different country or a different decade and find out what their lives were like. There are a million thing to choose from.

What about "History of 90's Music"? I think my teacher would let me do that, and classify it as history, since it's not about a specific person. Do you think that's a good topic? Or is it too broad?

I think it would make it easier on yourself if you narrowed it down to "History of 90s Rock Music" or some genre. If you did just "History of 90s Music" that could be a lotttt of work.
