Default My school's TV Critic..

I just started buying newspaper stuff from my school like a few weeks ago, and i happen to notice a section where this dude judges TV shows, and he is a mean judge. Hes supposed to be funny, but sometimes its more like Simon from American Idol. And one of the shows he judges is 8SR, along with others such as Friends, Joe Millionare, Will and Grace, and a lot of WB shows. But, in my first issue, I saw 8SR, and i asked for ALL the past newspapers from the whole yr, and happened to have gotten reviews for all episodes, so here...

And, there was another list, where 8SR ranks as his 7th favorite show. So even though he sounds like he hates it, its probably that he expects a lot, cuz his Friend reviews can be extra harsh, but it's his fave show...

1. Pilot
"The characters of Bridget and Rory bring up a spark of interest. But that's just a spark. With John Ritter and Katey Segal, which some of you might call a great ensemble, you might expect this show to be the bomb. But John is getting old, and Katey is a nurse. Katey sure isnt married with children anymore because shes always away, and little poor old Johnny Wohnny is struggling maintaining a good household. Kerry on the other hand is a red head with no read heart people. Her and John's little one on one convo of a sation, BO-RING. I can watch this show one more time, but only if producers maintain effort with Bridget and Rory"

2.Wall of Shame
Is it just me, or did the whole cast look like they all just jogged a mile? Make up was low, jokes were slightly more sensible, all in all, Mr. Watson (like on of the easiest, nicest, best teachers at our school) would give it a C. For crap.

3.Bridget's First Job
Excuse me for the past two reviews. This one was absolutely an improvement, as if producers look at my reviews every week. It was mainly a Bridget obsessed episode, and as I expected in the 1st episode, Bridget is gonna be the base of this show. The only negative critism is when Bridget and Paul talk in the mall and Bridget acts all self-absorbed. Now, Bridget you're great, but you're not any first class lover-girl.

4.Wings
All I have to say, is that it was way better than that TV Show. Characters are getting better, and this is becoming one of my favorite shows. I didnt re-watch the show, and cant really bring up any negativities, so let's just leave it there.

5.Son-In-Law
Absolutely dreadful. I thought this show was on a role. But, this show gave me no interest, I was about to turn into NBC's boring In-Laws/Just Shoot Me build up. I give it a 6........ out of 30.

6.Cheerleader
Improvement over last week. Though, I must say, I wanted to see some cheerleading from Bridget. The best part had to be the Bridget vs. Kerry plot, and the worst had to be Paul's constant "let me try to be your best friend" thing. Cmon John, add more winner, and subtract the loser. Being a loser worked with Jack Tripper, but you're a Dad now.

7.Trick or Treehouse
(I couldnt find the one from this)

8.By the Book
I must say that the plot line, with the book, was absolutely unattractive. But, they made the best out of it, and it made me laugh. Bridget's lack of intelligence sure gives us all a moment of excitement, and Kerry's "my sister is dumb" is kind of getting back into control.

9.Two Boys for Every Girl
(Dont think he had one for this one, cuz I have the issue, but its not there)

10.Give it Up
I'm still mean, but I have to say that this has to be the episode of the season so far. Very well developed, very well scripted. Everybody had a part, and I'm finally getting used to seeing Katey Segal with less hair, and John Ritter with longer shorts and no chest hairs.

11.Paul Meets His Match
I thought this was worse than the pilot. TV shows cannot go on with plot lines like these. Very cliche. Guest was annoying.

12.All I want for Christmas
Very well written, and there were some of the best jokes here. Paul was a little more understandable, and a little more funny. It was very funny, and I was into it, but when Katey sang, my thought was "Girl, cmon we want laughs not yawns". But overall, yah, it was good, a 18/20

13.Rory's Gotta Girlfriend
It was okay. There was finally a Rory plot line here, but sometimes Martin Spanjers can get off track his acting. Overall, it was an okay episode. Not one you'll see me watching over and over though.

14.Career Choices
Bridget a facialist. Now who couldve predicted. Yeah, the plot was great. Kerry getting all emotional over the animal stuff is coming back, cmon that was so Wall of Shame (<-- they shouldve renamed it Episode of Shame). But it was okay, Bridget's intelligence is decreasing, which is a good thing, and it was overall a C+/C episode.

15.Kerry's Big Adventure
Sounds interesting. Plot's okay. Next episode sounds interesting. But this episode didnt work for my viewing pleasure. With the guest, do we really need another Avril Lavigne? Kerry kissing Kyle? ... Ehh that was alright. At the end, that left me interested, and I am looking forward to next weeks episode.

16.Come and Knock on our Door
Highly anticipated episode. It had my eyes open. And if I had to hand out the award for best actor, it would be nobody of course. If I had to give it to the best actress, it would've been Amy Davidson for this episode. She gave the best performance. If you compare her with Joyce DeWitt, there are some similarities. I saw nothing with Kaley Cuoco. Literally, I saw nothing, I mean her shirt wasn't tight (my comment <-- okay he's perverted).. Also Kyle's shorts were too short that you can see his ying yang zigging around. The plot was good, the reactions on John's face during the misunderstanding was absolutely polluting.

17.Drummer Boy I
Nick Carter, I think, gained some pounds. But let's quit playing games with his heart. I thought that Bridget taking drum lessons was an excellent idea, and I thought the episode was sparkly. It was surely something to get into. The end was a little to sappy. I mean you dont know who Nick Carter has been with. And, I think Nick made the right decision in not dating her. He should go with someone his own size.

18.Drummer Boy II
Bad follow up. Slow start, okay finish. The "Catcher In the Rye" sappy lappy crappy stuff was a little too dreary. The Paul finding stuff in Ben's dorm seemed a little hydrating. That's all I have to say.

19.Cool Parent
This I expected to be better. Bridget with curls? No. It was boring. It was revolved around Paul, and I must say, personally, I prefer it being revolved around the children. Overall, a -2/10.

20.Every Picture Tells a Story
Big improvement from the so called Cool Parent. This was an improvement. I wasnt overly blown away, but it was pleasing.

21.Kerry's Video
Hilarious. Defined Bridget. Everything was excellent, though I found some jokes un-understandable. But the comprehensible jokes were great. End was dreadful I must say. Kerry and that guy? OKay... But overall, a great episode.

22.Spring Break (aka Good Show Gone Bad)
Too many things twirling around. Cate finally got a good plot line, Rory's plot, dreadful. And it wasnt the best episode.

23.Career Woman
A little change for the HAHA 8 Simple Rules. Very loving, and I must say it wasnt bad. It was different, and it touched my heart. Oh no, I'm sounding sappy like Kerry! Okay, twisting around, I thought that it was a good episode. Not exactly the best. And another thing. Cate is taking up another shift???? She basically lives there now.

24.Queen Bees and King Bees
Excellent. A big improvement from the last two episodes. This made me laugh. All jokes were great. Beginning to end was unbelieveably consistent. I will be looking forward to upcoming episodes.

Hmmm I agree with most of your reviews....I definitley agree that we should have seen some more cheerleading in "Cheerleader" But Kerry's big Adventure was Crap. I mean it don't get no crappier than that right there.

Oh, wow, thanks so much for posting these, it was so enjoyable to read this! Your paper sounds a lot better than mine was in high school, lol. Seriously, though, thanks for taking the time to post this (although you're right...this guy does seem a bit perverted).

Thanks for taking the time and posting those! I didn't agree with a lot of the commentary, but I enjoyed seeing his views on the episodes.

UPDATE:
25. Bake Sale
Some parts were good while other parts were absolutely dreadful. Okay Bridget, you have to mother a sack of flour.. like that'll entertain the public. Anyways, when reading a preview of this episode, I expected it to be a bit more fun. For example, I would've liked to see a flour fight, I would've liked to see them at the sale, and I think that Bridget's new hair doesnt work. Blondes like that start off like normal, then gradually get worse. by the time u know it, her hair will be died black.

I disagree with some of this.... but whatever
