I knew that'd get your attention!
![]() But actually, more like sexual innuendo in cartoons. Has anyone ever caught any in the any of the current mainstream American toons? Yesterday, I caught an episode of Dexter's Lab. It was the one where Dexter & the family go to the beach & Dee Dee becomes a mermaid & Dexter has this submarine. They run into pirates who give them a hard time & then at one point, the camera zooms in between/under the pirate's legs & he says "Well, I'll give you a taste of my WET WILLIE!" Of course, "Wet Willie" turns out to be this little guy who jumps out of a barrel to attack Dexter! I was like, "!!" Whoa! But it was funny! Is this common? |

Yes it is. Get with the times. Nah, seriously, not all cartoons, maybe a lot of Cartoon Network cartoons. I don't really watch the channel much anymore. It's a lot worse than that on Harvey Birdman, but then again that;s a cartoon on later, geared at adult viewers, part of the whole Adult Swim lineup.

Very funny. :P
But I'd seen many episodes of DL & never saw anything like that. If it weren't so straightforward, I'd say Johnny Bravo might be one that is loaded with em, but it isn't quite innuendo w/ that one. It's mostly just him hitting on every girl he sees. |

Yeah, "Powerpuff Girls" and "Dexter's Lab" have some subtle inneudoes in them. I've seen whole topics on other message boards that are 250 posts long with Sexual Inneudos and Other Objectionable Contents in Kids' Cartoons (or something like that) covering everything from PPG to Rocko's Modern Life to Spongebob and so on. I'll see if I can't find some other examples for ya...

I like that commercial with the Powerpuff Girls with the Superfriends and one of them says to Wonder Woman "Someday, we'll be as big as you", then The Superfriends bust out laughing. That's a good one.

You missed one... Miss Sara Bellum's home address is 69 Yodel-In-The-Valley Lane (heeheeheehee)*
*For those of you who don't know what "69'' means, you probably spend some very lonely nights at home. As for "Yodel-in-the-valley"...ask your grandpa...

One weird mix is the Simpsons. Geared for kids from 7+ up to old people, it has regular sexual innuendo. And Dangermouse...Man, that was a weird programme, even gay innuendo.
Smurfs was another one, and the Moomins...GOD THE MOOMINS *shivers* |
