Exclamation Remedies for faster hair growth

Ok, I got my hair cut today and I don't much like it. I want it back long. Do you guys know anyway that I can make my hair grow faster?

I went through the same thing about a year ago, though I'm still growing it out it's grown alot and I finally got to cut it all even YAY!

My adivce would be simply, give it time. In my life I have tried products that supposedly make hair grow faster and they did nothing for me. But if you want 'Lanza' has a few hair products like that. Also don't do anything to your hair that could damage it like straightening everyday or curling, that is if you want to keep it healthy. It really depends on how fast your hair grows and how you take care of it.

Also you might wanna go to a hair product place and ask for a shampoo that keeps hair healthy and protects it while growing it long, I had a shampoo like that but I forgot what the name was. Or you can ask for shampoos that work 'best' for growing long hair.

And then there's hair vitamins... but I've never taken them.

What does it look like? I mean how long is it? It probably looks really good, your probablly just over*reacting. My hair took 2 years to get as long as it is right now, and its still not VERY long so, I really don't have any advice. Sorry!

i havent tried this but ive heard if you wash your hair in cold water itll make it grow faster.

also if you wash your hair everyday it will make it stop growing and when you do wash it you should massage your scalp (it stimulates the hair) and ofcourse keep the split ends trimmed.

Not true.

The only way you can make hair grow "faster" is to get it trimmed regularly by cutting off the dead ends.

Now I'm totally serious here folks.
I heard that horse hair shampoo, that's right, shampoo for a horse's mane and tail stumulates hair growth faster thatn regular shampoo.
Horse hair shampoo is available. I'm not making this up...

Talking well

How are you for spray on hair? Or you could attach little one pund weights to your hair to drag it down, followed by walking on your hands, to let the forces of gravity rip it almost out of your scalp!? Or you could just take time, sometimes, hair grows fast.

Thats not true either.

There's not a real way to make your hair grow faster. It's like trying to make yourself taller by yourself. It's something you cant control.

Yes, but by trimming regularly you are cutting off the split dead ends making your hair healthier. Healthy hair will in turn help it grow.

Cool

that mane and tail condition used to work great for me, but i think they may have changed the formula a few years ago, when it started getting popular. im not sure, but it stopped working for me then.

there was a big artcile on this a few days ago on compuserve news. I saved it to my hard drive, here it is

-------------
Healthy hair requires a healthy diet. Hair typically grows a half-inch each month. Restrict your calories too much, and your hair growth will slow. It could even fall out. Hair needs a nutrient-rich supply of blood to the follicles to grow and be its healthy best. Here's a quick test from InStyle magazine to tell if yo
ur hair is healthy: Stretch a strand of hair by the root when it's wet. Tug gently. If it stretches about 30 percent of its length before it breaks, it's healthy. If it snaps instantly, it's damaged.

Cooking Light magazine and iVillage.com emphasize that eating a healthy, well-balanced diet with the following nutrients is one of the best things you can do for your hair:
Omega-3 fatty acids
Salmon, mackerel, halibut, sardines, herring, flaxseeds, flaxseed oil, canola oil, soybeans, soybean oil, pumpkin seeds, pumpkin seed oil, walnuts, and walnut oil.
Zinc
Oysters, cereal, Alaskan King crab, the dark meat of turkey, cashews, sunflower seeds, spinach, kidney beans, and tofu.
Vitamin B-6
Bananas, salmon, light meat of chicken, sweet potato with the skin, cod, watermelon, and spinach.
Vitamin B-12
Cereal, top round steak, canned tuna packed in water, flounder, turkey breast, fruit-flavored yogurt, skim milk, and mozzarella cheese.
Selenium
Baked potatoes with the skin, roasted pork loin, eggs, top sirloin, turkey breast, wheat germ, whole wheat bread, and cashews.

Other healthy hair diet tips:
--Drink lots of water--8 to 10 glasses a day--to hydrate your body and keep your hair silky and shiny.
--Eat lots of fruits and veggies and stay away from processed foods.
--Take a multivitamin daily.

Oh yes, Ive done that test before. Just remember though, everyones hair (and nails) are different. My mothers hair grows sooo fast yet mine seems to go slow. On the other hand, my nails grow rapidly. But, I also take really good care of my nails.

You can try the enriched shampoo stuff they sell in salons. I dont know if it works. My hair grows like a weed so I never have any problem growing it back. I got it cut about 8 weeks ago and I can put it in a ponytail again which is a surprise since I got it cut so short.
