The numerous celebrations for BOB HOPE's 100th birthday include star-studded events as Hollywood honors one of its legends. The party begins today when Hope, who was born May 29, 1903 in England, is named "Citizen of the Century" in a special ceremony on the Hollywood Walk of Fame at 11:30 a.m.

Among the movers and shakers expected to turn out when Hollywood's Honorary Mayor JOHNNY GRANT presents the special plaque in Hope's honor are KELSEY GRAMMER, DENNIS MILLER, CINDY WILLIAMS, EVA MARIE SAINT, PHYLLIS DILLER, JACK JONES, Bob's wife DOLORES HOPE and daughter LINDA HOPE.

In conjunction with the honor, Universal Studios Home Video will be releasing "The Bob Hope DVD Tribute Collection," with 12 titles, including Hope's famous 'Road' pictures -- 'Road to Singapore,' 'Road to Zanzibar,' 'Road to Morocco' and 'Road to Utopia' -- all co-starring BING CROSBY and DOROTHY LAMOUR.

Then NBC jumps on the birthday bandwagon with its two-hour tribute" 100 Years of Hope & Humor," airing on Sunday, April 20 at 7 p.m, hosted by JANE PAULEY. It will include footage from Hope's NBC career, his connection to 11 U.S. presidents, his love of golf, and additionally TV and film clips.

A few of the many stars to appear are WOODY ALLEN, MEL BROOKS, DREW CAREY, ALLISON JANNEY, JAY LENO, STEVE MARTIN, ERIC McCORMACK, ARNOLD PALMER, BROOKE SHIELDS, MARTIN SHORT, BARBARA WALTERS and OPRAH WINFREY, to name a few.
