Default Shows you originally didn't like .....

Were there any tv shows that first left you unimpressed, but you grew to enjoy it? I didn't care for "Family Ties", but I eventually started to like it.

Let me see, the one show I can remember hating was The Andy Griffith Show. My dad, he is a big Andy Griffith Show fan and when I was a kid, it seemed like all he watched was Andy Griffith. That really got on my nerves and that's prob. why I hated it, but then I grew to love it.

When Everybody Loves Raymond first came out, I wasn't very interested at all. Then, near the end of the first season, I started to watch and I found I really liked it. I'm starting to hate it again though.

I can remember my parents watching The Andy Griffith Show reruns when I was a kid, and I would think (as I walked out the door to do kids stuff), "why would they want to watch that?! It's just a bunch of people talking, there's no aliens or spaceships in it, and it's not even in color!"
It was actually only a few years ago that I started watching it, and finally realized it is one of the best shows around! IMHO.

When I was in middle school, I boycotted "Home Improvement" because it replaced syndicated Star Trek: The Next Generation's 6PM CST timeslot. When TNG returned to TNN, I watched Home Improvement and enjoyed it.

As for not liking originally, there aren't many, because if I watch a sitcom I either love it or hate it.

lol Just another thing we share, right. Does your dad watch CNN a lot too? Oh, and the weather channel. Hmm, come to think of it, dad doesn't watch the weather channel much anymore. CNN is depressing, but he can manage to watch it all morning.

Nope. He sits and watches either Hallmark, Speed Channel, or one of the movie channels all day when he's off.
