I've lived on lower-fat foods for most of my life, and I have yet to develop a taste for them. I still believe that, compared to regular food, they taste like ****. Anyone agree with me?

I agree. Low fat & low calories = low taste.
![]() I can't be arsed with any of that low-fat crap. I'm lucky that I can eat junk all the time and not gain weight so there's no way I'm gonna waste my time with diet foods! |

No. To me, they all (with the exception of a few) taste the same to me. I dont eat them though. Maybe,
if I did Id lose some weight!! But, that would be too easy.

Low fat alternatives to regular foods did take some time to get used to, but that's what I eat nowadays.
A few years ago I switched to low fat foods and in the course of a few months I lost 30 pounds. Low fat foods are healthier, but try to lay off foods with high fructose corn syrup. That packs on the calories. There are plenty of foods with natural sweeteners. |

I agree that some of this low fat stuff doesn't taste as good and it is almost always higher in sodium that the regular foods. Anyways I've heard that if you are trying to lose weight you should eat things that are low in carbs, not low in fat.

There are some few reduced, and fat-free foods that I think taste the same as the original.
For example, cookies, cheese, ice cream, and MANY more. I'm glad markets are providing alternatives to those fatty arterie-cloggers. |
