Hi Todd. I am not very good at this computer thing and I am having touble trying to get to my question about the above listed show. Can you help? My question is whether anyone remembers an episode which involved Laura trying to get (purchase?) a fur coat from someone named ann villani?? Can you please let me know what I have to do to get this question out? Thanks Cip

The name of the episode is "No Sale Like Wholesale." Rob wants to buy Laura a fur coat for their "no special reason" day and Buddy offers to help him get it wholesale. He goes to see a guy named Nunzio Vallani. Laura has to pretend she is Nunzio's wife, Ann, to go pick up the coat. It is a very funny episode! I love the scene where Rob is trying on the coat to try and gauge Laura's size and the janitor comes up to him and says, "Does your mother know you're doing this?" It was quite ahead of it's time! I agree about that line by the janitor! It's one of those lines where you hear it and a few minutes later you go, "Did that mean what I think it meant?" LOL Most shows today would've been more obvious. It's a sign of how smart the DVDS is.

Dick was standing there studying
himself just before it was said.
Really made it work. And that took
some courage. DVD was very unafraid
that way. Ya know what I mean? He
wasn't the typical tough guy. And
he would play some scenes with
that mild type guy effect for laughs.
Like the telephone conversation
with his brother's possible girlfriend in one show, repeating
(to her and Laura) what they're both
saying to him with the same inflections, "She's sure you felt just awwful...", and repeats "She did...ohhh, she did." That's brave.
And funny too.
