Default ACT's

Has anyone here taken the ACT's? I took them today (had to wake up at 6:45 in the morning ) for the second time. I did fine the first time, I got a 26, (36 is the best you can get and "highly selective colleges" normally take scores 27 and up) and only took it again because my mom made me. So have you taken them and if so what did you get?

I got a thing from Duke University that allowed me to take the ACT in the 7th grade and I made a 21 then.

That's really good for being in 7th grade. I know people who are in 11th grade and got 22's and stuff.

I took it three times. The first time, I had no clue what to expect, so yea, I didn't get the grade I wanted. My last score was a 25, and I'm perfectly content with it. I needed between a 23 and a 27 to get into my college. I got a 26 alone in math which really shocked me considering I hate any and every math.

I got a thing from Duke University, like Hannah, and took it in the 7th grade; I got a 19.

I've taken it one time in February. I got a 14. I think I'm taking it again in June.

Yeah, I took them. And the SATs too. I don't remember what my scores were (this was back in 1999) but I did pretty well. I got into the college I wanted, (YAY MICHIGAN STATE!) and that's all I really cared about. Well, you have my sympathy, those that have just taken them, or have yet to take them. They were not fun.

I remember I was advised in 11th Grade not to retake them, because you're not going to improve that much - one guy at the other highschool improved by like 15 points and they had his score investigated because it was too much of an improvement. Just thought I'd share the info. It really seems like too much stress and too much money to go through it twice.

My brother is in seventh grade, and he just took them. I think it humbled him. His scores aren't back yet.

Michigan State, that's where I wanna go. I'm pretty sure I'll be able to get in since they said my score the first time ranked in the top quarter of freshman admitted last year.

I took my ACT a couple of years ago. I didn't do so well on them.

ACT's are more of a middle of the country thing. Both coasts take SAT's.
