When I was younger, I used to think Antonio really WAS Italian! I was shocked when I first saw him without the accent. I was like, 'That's not Antonio!" I think he's Lebanese-American or something. I heard somewhere that the woman who plays Casey is also Lebanese-American.

I saw Tony Shalhoub on Craig Kilborn recently. And his voice drove me insane. It wasn't an annoying voice, I was just in shock that he didn't really have the Italian accent. But tht just goes to show you how great an actor Mr. Shalhoub is, if he can convince me he's Italian.
