Oh man that was the day of good sitcoms, I still prefer the older ones over the newer ones, but yeah I remember watching Perfect Strangers, Full House,Family Matters and Home Improvement to name a few. I think ABC got rid of that is becuase they ran out of sitcoms and started doing reality shows, maybe they can get soem good sitcoms other than 8 Simple rules, maybe they can bring back TGIF then.

I used to watch Full House all the time. Occasionally I would watch Step by Step and Boy Meets World but that was before I got cable. Once I got cable I became hooked on TVLand. I don't even know what shows are aired on ABC anymore because I am always watching cable channels.

Talking Censoring

Do people swaer much on tv in america, and if they do, do they get it trouble? In Graham Norton, he's advised not to swear, he does sometimes, and even though it isn't live it isn't bleeped out. Is it censored in the US broadcasts? Does the us have the watershed: after 9pm you can broadcast swearing and more adult material. The reason I'm writing is cos the title of this reminded me of something- in the US you have TGI Friday, in the UK it's TFI Friday, and you don't have to use your imagination to know what the first F is.

I watched TGIF back when "Mr. Belvedere" was on it. I t was followed by "Webster". I'm not sure if they actually called it TGIF then, but that's when I started watching ABC Friday nights. I continued watching every week up until the end. The cancelation of "Boy Meets World" seemed to be the end for ABC. Then I turned to CBS and "The Fugitive" on Fridays. But as everyone knows, that didn't last very long. So then I went back to ABC and "Thieves." But that did even worse. Now I just watch my tapes of "Wings" "NewsRadio" and "Perfect Strangers." I wish TV Land would put together a lineup of family shows just for Friday nights.
