Not Everybody Has A Neilson Ratings Box - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

I watched the "Wings" marathon, and Wings every night on Nick at Nite. But my watching it doesn't count, because I don't have a Neilson ratings box. Nick at Nite seems to think that people woth those box thingys are the only people out there. Who else doesn't have a Ratings Box, but watches Wings?

I don't have one either, nor do I know anyone who has one. I don't like the Neilson system. I don't think it's fair at all for a selected group of people to decide what I should and shouldn't watch.

One big lesson that I've learned over the years from watching TV is that crap usually gets excellent ratings while quality is pased over . That's why good shows like NewsRadio and Andy Richter Controls the Universe get ignored and cancelled and those trashy reality shows get thousands of viewers. Maybe if they gave more Neilson boxes to intelligent people who like quality TV...

I don't have a Neilson box, and I'm starting the think that maybe the people that do don't have GEDs...?

to me I think the shows that are the viewers choice is the ones that are truely the top shows on tv and not the ones that the critics and film and tv institutions think are the best
