Question Accident??

I watched TvLand's episode tonight when Lamont decides he's gonna get a job to bring in extra cash. He works at this stuffy place that sells ties & shirts etc w/ the obnoxious boss.
At the end scene, Fred is sitting in the kitchen typing his 'memoirs' & after Lamont walks out, Fred falls off the chair! The fall looked a little too real. I'm wondering if it was an accident they decided not to re-shoot.

The scene he is talking about is the tag scene-i forget the episode-but Fred is in the kitchen sitting at the table and there is a typewriter on the table. The top of the typewriter flew off and Fred suddenly fell backward out of the chair. It shocked the hell out of me because it looked like it wasn't staged At all. He could have really been hurt.

Falling backward out of a chair is not staged. It was a accident

Speaking of Sanford & Son "accidents", how about the episode where Aunt Esther's wig fell off her head? I wonder if that could have been an unplanned moment?

I Saw it too. I think it was an accident because of the way the roller shot off of the typewritter. The way fred fell out of the chair and he didn't get right back up..the camera didn't zoom right to fred because they really didn't expect it either.

I think another accident on he show was in the episode "
Steinberg and Son" at the end when Fred throws the rollerskate at Rollo. It actually breaks a window pane in the door.

That was not a accident. Rollerskates will break Any window. I think that was in the script not a accident.
