Talking Bloopers!

Well since there has been some discussion about Bloopers, I figured I would start a topic about them Who can pick out some ILL Bloopers off the top of you're head? In "Too Many Crooks" Lucy was looking for Rickys silver cigerette case and Ricky says "What are you looking for" and Lucy says "you're SIBLER then she corrects herself and says Silver cigarette case.. and then in the christmas episode, if you watch closely you can see Lucy pulling out the plug to make the lights go out again

Well, there's always the scene in the Vitameatavegamin episode where you can see the apartment. You can also see the bedroom from the living room in "Lucy Thinks Ricky's Trying to Kill Her." Or in "Lucy's Swan Song" where she pulls the string on her skirt so her pants will fall down.

In what part exactly is this? I've heard this before and have actually gone back to check, but I can't seem to see it! I only have tapes of episodes copied off of tv, so it is in a scene (or part of a scene) that would likely be edited out in the broadcast version?

As for contributing a blooper, it's a very minor one, but in the episode where there's supposed to be a burglar in the neighborhood. It's when Fred is installing a new lock for Lucy and setting up the shot where he comes back to the apartment and rips the door off the wall (after Ethel's come back and broken the lock with her great strength ), you can actually see where the doorframe's been cut so that the event can come off. Like I said, it's minor, but it shows how much careful planning went into their antics, and how carefully one can watch in this day of video tapes and dvd's to unravel the mystery.

In "The Dancing Star" where Lucy dances with Van Johnson, the scene when she's trying to convince Ricky that she really did dance with him she says, "It's true, I Van...I danced with Van Johnson this afternoon." And if you watch closely you can tell that she starts laughing afterwards and then when Desi walks over to pick up the phone he ridicules her even further and says "Vanced with Dan? What is that?" and Lucy starts laughing again.

In "Redecorating The Mertzes' Apartment," Lucy says to Ricky, "Let's paint the furniture and reupholster the old furniture." Desi ad-libbed his response, saying "You mean paint the apartment and reupholster the old furniture?"
Also, in "Lucy Is Enciente," Desi messed up the lyrics to 'Rock-a-bye Baby' in the scene where Ricky found out that Lucy was pregnant. He sang "Rock-a-bye Baby in the tree tops, when the wind blows the cradle will fall. When the bough breaks, the cradle will fall..." I read somewhere that the director wanted to do the scene over again, but everyone in the audience shouted "NO!!" I'm glad they didn't reshoot that scene; it wouldn't have had the same emotional impact, in my opinion.

It's right as a drunk Lucy comes from backstage while Ricky is singing his song. Look at where she comes out of. It's a little dark.

Ohhhhhh, yes, I do see where you're talking about, but it's more than a little dark. How can you tell that it's the apartment set? I can't really make anything out!

I also read somewhere else that even before this point (when Lucy comes out, I mean) when Ricky first comes out, you can see Lucy sitting in the apartment set smoking a cigarette and watching Desi sing. When Ricky first comes out (from behind the curtain) if you check that same gap in the wall over on the left, there are some visible white patches too. It would make sense that that's Lucy, since her outfit had the white cuffs, white collar, and white hat. But how can anyone *see* her, much less know she's smoking there if that's indeed the right place?

When Lucy was on Nick, they had a commercial where they highlighted that area with their fancy equipment and you could tell it was the apartment.

In Lucy Tells the Truth, one of the balloons pops even though Professor Falconi has not thrown a knife. Lucy's reaction is great!

TV Land pointed out that in "Redecorating The Mertzes' Apartment" one of the feathers from the Mertzes' apartment is floating in the air in Ricky and Lucy's apartment when Lucy and Ethel are taking about what happened. It must have jumped through the walls.
