These are some of th inconsistencies I found in some of my favorite shows because I'm the Sitcom Analyzer.
Jeffersons-Louise/George riding inside a cab to Manhattan to Queens in the Opening Credits when George told Louise they were taking a limo to Manhattan in the pilot episode of the Jeffersons. Sanford and Son-Front of the House in the opening credits don't match front of the House on the show.-Front of house on the show looks more like the side of house. All in the Family-the front of the house in the opening credits doesn't match the front of the house on the show. The house in the opening credits does not have a porch just steps, but the front of the house on the show does?? Good Times-Florida no longer had to work for Maude because her Husband Henry on Maude got a better job. But they moved to Chicago to live in a gettho? And why was Henry name changed to James???? Happy Days-The alien Mork from Planet Ork got his own show and his appearance on Happy Days was about him being in Richie's Dream. So how could Mork get his own spinoff if he wasn't reaL?? |

This has been mentioned before. Where did that big attic come from in the Brady house? In one episode it was mentioned that the attic was only 2 feet tall!
Also the outside of the house doesn't match the interior. |

In the season 5 episode of Get Smart entitled "Apes of Wrath" Max & 99's apartment is seen as a tall, city building episode when in most episodes it's supposed to be atree-lined residential street.
This episode features Max's changing apartment building. In most episodes, he lives on a tree-lined residential street. In this episode, it magically changes into a tall, city building. |

On Wings, Helen mentioned in one or two of the early episodes that her only sister's name was Lorraine. However, during the 6th season, her sister comes to live with her, but her name is Casey.

On "M*A*SH", they often use expressions that were not used in that time period. For example, I remember one episode in which Hawkeye mentions that somebody "got ripped off" - an expression that did not come into common useage until the 1970s.
Also, the men on the show wore their hair much longer than was the style (especially for the military!) in the early 1950s. |

in "MASH" Hawkeye mentions in a couple of the early episodes that he's from Vermont. In later episodes, he says he's from Maine.
In an early episode, he ends a letter to his father with"...say hi to Mom and sis for me". But later, he says his mother died when he was 10, and he's an only child. Once, Col. Blake says his wifes name is Mildred. But, in other episodes, he says it's Lorraine. Sometimes, Col. Potter says he's from Missouri, and other times he says Nebraska. In an early eepisode, Margret says both her parents are deceased. But, her father comes to the camp in a later episode. In "The Odd Couple" they had an episode once about Felix & Oscars fathers in the 1920s. Felixes father says, in one scene, that Felix is eight, which would have made Felix in his 50s in the series!! Another time, Oscar says he never told his mother he got divorced. But, in another show, he says that his mother's benn bugging him to get a girlfriend "since I got divorced". In an early episode, they show Felix & Oscar meeting when they both serve on a jury. But later, they show that they knew each other earlier, when they were in the Army together. Another time, Oscar says he never returned the tuxedo he wore at his wedding. But later, they show that he got married when he was in the Army, and didn't wear a tuxedo. |

"The Dick Van Dyke show" has a lot of inconsistencies in their flashback episodes.
When Laura leaves for the hospital to have Richie, they're living in a smaller house. But, when she comes home from the hospital, she comes home to their "regular" house, and, by the way it's furnished, it seems like they've been living their for some time. Also, when she has Richie, Rob is working in a different office. But, in a later flashback, when Laura's pregnant, Rob, Buddy, & Sally are in their "regular" office, and Rob & Laura are in their "regular" house. Also, Laura admits in a later episode that she was only something like 17(?) when she married Rob. But, in the episodes that show them before they got married, she is DEFINATLY NOT a teenager!!! |

I don't think this is exacly the same thing that everyone has been talking about, but on an episode of "The Jeffersons", Louise met Sammy Davis Jr. She also encountered him once before, when her character used to be on "All In The Family", but this was never mentioned.
