Depends on the show. If it was on when I was little and I watched it, then I sometimes feel a little nostalgic. But if it's just an old show that was on before I was born, I don't usually feel that way.

old tv shows make me feel good, (like Gilligan's Island, Gidget, Leave It To Beaver). They're so unrealistic ("gidget has a problem! she has no teen angst!") and when i am feeling depressed, i just watch TV Land and it's like medicine for me.

Nostalgic? No, I don't think so. Mostly they are just "feel good" type of shows, with few stresses, and that is why I watch them. But for the most part, they do not make me think back to my past.

I mostly watch stuff from before I was born, so I feel sort of nostalgic for a time I never lived in.

Well *sigh* No not really because none of the shows I watch were on when I was born. But whenever I watch old shows I wish they made shows like they used to. Today, imo, TV isn't as well written or well acted. There are some old TV shows that aren't on TV but I like reading about them because they sound so great. I've read about other current shows and they make me envison them as being great.

Some shows do. Like Magnum PI or the Love Boat because I always used to watch those 2 shows with my siblings and cousins. Whenever I see those shows it always brings back memories.
Dawsongirl mentioned watching shows that came out before she was born and feeling nostalgic for that time. I feel like that whenever I watch Leave it to Beaver.

Not really...... When I look at Leave it to Beaver or older shows I just look at it for the sake of looking at it.

I do however feel nostalgic whenever I see Chico and the Man and I see Freddie Prinze. I was so in love with him back then........ As for Good times, Sanford and Son, All in the Family (Shows from the 70's) I do feel nostalgic only because I use to wear those clothes back then.

Yeah. They make me feel old.

It sends a chill up my spine when I hear Nick at Nite refer to shows from my childhood as "Modern TV classics "

They're classics? Damn. When the hell did that happen? When I think of Classic TV I think of 'I love Lucy' and 'Bewitched.' You know...real old shows.

Not really unless I can watch it the same way I did then (VHS tape) -- Watching digitally does nothing for me........
