i love ELR. i am doing a class project on it and i am wondering what the audience think is the message ELR is trying to put forward? ie. what the script writers want us to get from the show?
please help!

I don't think it's trying to send any real message. I think it's just to entertain us. I've never been one to take TV seriously.

I dont think its any real Message just that the Barones are like any typical american Family so thats why we like it so much because we can relate

The message reinforces Freudian thinking that the mother is the root of many of our problems, hangups, failure to adjust in later life. Marie Barone is often blamed as the cause of Ray's marital discord and Robert's numerous adjustment problems.

I just thought that up but it could make an interesting paper.
