Lightbulb What I remember from my days of Alf...

This is one of the mid to late 80's sitcoms that I really watched in first run, since I was 4 when it began in 1986, and 8 when it ended.

My parents taped the show in first run, but did a sucky job by pausing it during commericals and shoulda let the damn vcr run. I have like 25 to 30 first run episodes of mostly season 2-3 episodes. I know the first one my parents recorded for me was the one where Trevor Ockmonic threw the football through his window and everyone blamed ALF. The last one I remember them taping was when Kate gasve birth to the new baby.

I do however, remember losing touch with the show as I did love it, but I guess my parents didnt record anymore. I dont know why, but I do remember my mom saying "ALF is going to be discovered!!!" when I was 8 years old. And we watched the episode in first run. It said "To Be Continued..." but a year later, after the renewed shows had their finales, we knew ALF had been cancelled.

Episodes I remember my parents taping in first-run

-Football through window episode
-Trever and Raquel loose spark in their marriage
-Brian finds that stray dog and names it Alfina
-Brian gets beat up in school and the parents take out the bully's
-Alf dreams he is on Gilligan's Isle
-Kate finds out that she is pregnant
-Alf rigs the house when he hears the family is deciding to sell it
-The two part hobo thanksgiving episode
-The two part tonight show episode
-Alf hits his head and sees heaven
- Alf hides in the car on Lynne's Date
-The home movies Willie shows of his old days with Kate
-The episode where Trevor thinks Willie likes Raquel
-Alf doing magic and making Brian Dissapear
- Kate's friend visits who is an alcoholic
- Alf moves in with Jody the blind woman
- Raquel comes in contact with Alf

(Thats about 17 I know of that were first run, but my parents did a lousy job deiting commericals out. Sometimes they stopped the tape right when the episode ended and I didnt even get to see the closing credits. And sometimes they would just stop the tape before the episode ended and record another episode. So it is kinda screwy. )

But I do remember this was my favorite show when I was a kid. I always watched it in seasons 2 and 3 when I was 6 and 7 years old.

I was only 3-4 years old when the show was on, but I can remember that I thought it was really cool, and I watched the eps I taped many times after that.

I'm 15 (16 in June) and I actually do have some very vague fuzzy memories of watching this...probably the last season...
