Default Bad Cartoon Network Shows

Is it just me or does anyone else think 'Kids Next Door' is really bad and Cartoon Network is going way, way overboard with the anime shows? They put one on during the midnight Adult Swim and turn around and put the same show on during the Tonnami thingamagig. I just think most of them are dull, boring and lifeless. Why not try to reach an older audience at night with some of the older Super Hero type stuff like the Fantastic Four, Spiderman, Batman or even the Marvel Comic cartoons that Trans Lux made back in the mid '60's? Just a thought.

That's what Boomerang is for. I specifically hooked up with Direct TV a couple of years ago just so I could get Boomerang. It's far superior to the now pathetic Cartoon Network, IMHO.

The only semi-recent cartoons that I'd like to see Boomerang pick up are the Batman & Superman series from Fox/WB. Those were fairly high quality, at least in my book. As for everything else that is current, forget it!

I read that Kids Next Door is the highest rated original. I dunno, the only thing I watch is Powerpuff Girls.

Thumbs up AMEN!!!

Thank you, THANK YOU!! I'm glad SOMEONE here agrees with me! i hate animae, especially Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh! and ANYTHING on Adult Swim!! And Kids Next Door?! What the hell IS this?! What are we teaching kids with this show, 'Parents are the enemy, go ahead and disobey them, it's all right, you're right?' WHAT?!
Despite what some others are saying, people need to praise Scooby more, especialy 'What's New, Scooby Doo?' now THAT'S a great show that teaches kids to use their brains to solve problems and to stick together!

Well, frankly I'd say ALL (except Johnny Bravo) are bad, though Space Ghost C2C and any spinoffs are great (Zorak rules. He should have his own show.)

Can't wait till I get BOOMERANG!

Steve, born in 1960 and a VINTAGE Pre-SMURFS Hanna-Barbera fan.

BTW With Dreamworks Sinbad coming in theatres I wodner if HB or animator Sam Singer's mid-60s Sinbads will be licenced (Orion bought the rigths from American International.)

A-men! And re:Codename: Swine next door I hate that it is set in the SIXTIES, supposedly but the vocal talent (Cree "I am the awful Elmyra"Summer et al) are MODERN voices or date from the last 20 years--why not use June Foray, Stan Freberg, Janet Waldo, Artie Johnson, Gary Owens (the orig.Space Ghost, btw) and Ruth Buzzi more often? (I mean in LEAD voice roles)

Codename's kids ain't kids next door-the Brady kids they aint.

I don't really care for KND or Courage, but enjoy the other Cartoon Network originals.

I really wish Dish Network hadn't bad-mouthed my mom, forcing us back to basic cable. I understand why and now dislike Dish Network, but I miss Boomerang. Have you seen the May schedule for Cartoon network? Even the overnight repeats of the Flintstones are gone...

But, I have to say, I like anime: the funny kinds at least. "Pokemon", "Hamtaro" and "Tokyo Pig" all rock!

I agree with you all here. This new stuff is hard to watch. Boomerang is good. It took me a long time before I even got a little interested in the whole Dragon Ball thing. I hated that show with a passion at first but now its OK. Does anyone like that cartoon "home movies" at first i hated it, but now i only watch it because I think coach McGuirk is funny. Oh whatever happened to all the cool cartoons i used to watch as a kid like "school house rock".

Cool

Kids Next Door sucks big time ( just my opinion here, dont cry) I dont get boomerang but my best friend does so i record a show here and there when i can, to put on vcd. They dont show enough superfriends though! just when i started getting some eps, they yanked it. Well, im hoping for boomerang to become available on my cable system one day - will rule. Its great for expanding on the classic characters who might end up on adult swim.

peace

Ugh, I hate all these new Cartoon Network and some of the new Nickelodeon cartoons. "Grim and Evil" and "The Fairly Godparents" or whatever, suck. *wishes he had "Boomerang"*

I hate basically everything on Cartoon Network except the first hour of Adult Swim. Futurama and Family Guy are the only shows worth watching on that channel anymore.
