I just learned that there was a show in 1989 or 1990 about two teens in San Angelo, TX by the names of Sally Ann McNelly, 18, and Shane Paul Stewart, 16. Sally and I were freinds in Junior High in Ballinger, TX before she moved to San Angelo. I was really freaked when I learned she had been murdered, even more freaked when someone told me the story was protrayed on Unsolved Mysteries. Has anyone actually seen this show? They were shot and buried near the Twin Buttes Resovior in San Angelo in July of 1988. Sally was allegedly involved with some sort of cult. If anyone has seen the show, I would love to hear about it and what they said. Thank you very much!

Hi!
If this is the story I am thinking of, yes I remember seeing it many times. If I recall correctly, Sally and Shane were dating. Sally was a rebellious young lady, perhaps due to the fact that her mom was so young when she had her. Sally became involved with a Satanic cult, and according to UM, Sally and Shane might have been murdered because Sally was trying to get out of the cult. That is really all I remember. I did a search on the pair and I found this article: http://web.gosanangelo.com/archive/0...uary/17/1.html It doesn't give much information other than what's already known. You have sparked my interest, so if I find anything else, I will post it. |

This is a loose connection but the Zodiac Killer attacked Darlene Ferrin and Mike Mageau on July 4, 1969. Darlene was said to be involved with a satanic cult.
Zodiac victims, Cecelia Shepard and Bryan Hartnell were attacked by a lake (Lake Barryessa). Like I said, it is a loose connection. |
