Post experiment about colorizing episode

I'm pretty sure everybody has seen the movie "The Wizard of Oz". Everybody knows the films starts off in B & W, and when Dorthy goes to Oz, it turns into color.

I had this idea pop into my head about the Scotland dream episode. What if the beginning of the episode is in B & W, but when Lucy starts to dream that she's in Scotland it colorizes.

This is just my idea, it may be a dumb idea, but I was just thinking if someone did that it may be neat.

What are your opinions on my idea?

that makes no sence. why the heck would it turn to color in the DREAM?

the reason the wizard of oz was in color when she went to "OZ" was because "OZ" was supposed to be a colorful place that could only be in a dream because it was colorful and that was one of the reasons it was different from candces (sorry i don't know how to spell that ). do you see what i am saying?

sorry but that wouldn't make sence. There would be know reason for LUCY'S dream to be in color!

thats just my opinion!

okay, so it was a stupid idea. I regret I posted this topic. Would somebody please delete it or something.

I thought it would be a good idea, to at least see an episode in color, but whatever.

Jenny, I happen to think your idea is great. It makes sense to me. After all, most people dream in color. That would be cool. I've seen color pictures taken of the cast while they were shooting that episode and they wore very colorful costumes. It would look great in color!

Don't regret posting this.

You were right the first time. That's a cool idea. It's kind of like what the did with the Christmas episode, only in reverse. But it would make complete sense (or "sence" as ilovelucyjg15 writes) to do that because her dream was a fantasy, much like THE WIZARD OF OZ. This wasn't really Scotland Lucy was dreaming about, but a fantasy version of Scotland. So yes, your suggestion is totally logical.

Incidentally, did you know there are actually outtakes of the Scotland episode filmed in color? I've seen them. So apparently someone else was thinking on the same wavelength as you. And some people have actually believed that episode was filmed in color, though an actual color copy hasn't surfaced yet.

Maybe that's what I saw. It looked very cool, very natural. I wonder why they never shot more in color?

Maybe the company TechniColor might put some of the episodes in color, HOPEFULLY!
