Default What your surroundings remind you of?

Do any people you know, or anything or any buildings in your town remind you of famous movie things? Each day, my town is starting to remind me more and more of St.Olaf in the Golden Girls, cos the town is so small and unaware of the world (usually)

Constantly. But then they actually do a lot of TV and movie filming in my area. People come to my town and point at a site that they recognize from film. I, on the other hand, watch a film and recognize buildings and streets that I have seen in person.

A long time ago I went to a funeral for a relative and right across from the place was this building with a sign in front that said 'Designing Women.' Naturally, it reminded me of the show. I love that show, btw.

One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, because I'm trapped in a whitewashed area with a bunch of mental patients.

My husband reminds me of Happy Days. He was a teen in the late fifties/early 60's. His dad owned the local hardware store. He played basketball in high school and had a younger sister. His older brother lived away from home so was rarely seen! He WAS Richie Cunningham! But a little wilder

There used to be this ice cream parlor a couple blocks from my house that reminded me of Happy Days. The inside was all decorated like the 50's and the waitresses wore saddle shoes and bobby socks. I used to love going in there after work and taking my niece and nephews in there on Saturday nights. The owners sold the place a couple years ago though. I really miss it. The town is just not the same now.

well actaully alot of films are filmed here in Portland Oregon so when I see them I go "OH I KNOW THAT PLACE" (God only knows WHY they are filmed here) but anyways films like Free Willly, Kindergarten Cop,the goonies and most recently The Hunted were all filmed here (Or around here)

Was his brother stuffed into a closet too?

Thats cool that he reminds you of HD!!

I dunno what my town reminds me of.. Im not really a movie person, so for TV shows Ill guess Id say Wonder Years. Its a small town where everyone knows everyone basically.
