Talking If I Were Soap Net: My Program Lineup

If I were Soap Net,I would put it the following program lineup.

Beginning with the acquisition of Dallas, and a Dallas marathon containing memorable episodes, such as the first episode,Who Shot J.R.,Bobby In The Shower, the Southfork fire, the final episode of Dallas, etc.

After that: My program lineup if I was Soap Net:

8:00 A.M.: Peyton Place
8:30 A.M.: Peyton Place
9:00 A.M.: Dallas
10:00 A.M. : Knots Landing
11:00 A.M. : Falcon Crest
12:00 Noon: Dynasty
1:00 P.M.: Sisters
2:00 P.M.: Hotel
3:00 P.M.: Beverly Hills 90210
4:00 P.M: Melrose Place
5:00 P.M.: Dallas(rerun of Morning show)
6:00 P.M.: Dynasty(rerun of Noon show)
7:00 P.M.: One Life To Live
8:00 P.M.: General Hospital
9:00 P.M.: Days Of Our Lives
10:00 P.M.: Passions
11:00 P.M. thru 8:00 A.M. Paid Programming

Weekends are a question mark, because they show the soap operas from previous days on there.

What do you guys mean by surviving episodes?

Were some burned or something like that?

Some episodes were taped over or destroyed. They started to save the episodes in the late 70s - I believe ABC started saving their soaps in 1976/1977/1978 (somewhere around that), and soon after other soaps and the Proctor & Gamble soaps also started to save episodes. Some soaps never got rid of episodes, such as Dark Shadows (which is only missing one) and Ryan's Hope (premired in 1975 and has a few episodes that are too damaged to be aired from it's early years).

There are some copies of various episodes from the soap operas that didn't save their episodes, though they are kinescopes and not the masters (unless the master for an episode survived some how)
