"The Drew Carey Show" should have been canceled awhile ago. It's really terrible, and has been that way for quite some time. I once recall him being interviewed (I think it was the second season of the series or so), and he said that no matter what the ratings of the show were, he wouldn't go past four seasons, because he wanted to end the series while it was still on top, and he didn't want to overstay his welcome. I can only assume that after season 4, greed took over - and the quality of the show became less and less of a priority to him.

Agree. The fshow had gotten worse during the 4th season.
I heard it'll run it's final episodes during the summer.
So it's probably got canned. Without a "special" finale'.

According to USA TODAY, the DREW CAREY SHOW will definitely be back for the 2003-04 season. ABC is contracted to do another year and the stars haven't expressed any desire to throw in the towel just yet. Obviously, Carey must be worried about his career to be holding onto the show, and he should be. Despite all the success the show brought him, he wasn't able to parlay it into anything else. After all these years, he doesn't have any other significant credits. Instead, he put all that time and energy into that stupid WHO'S LINE IS IT ANYWAY? Once his show is gone, it's back to the comedy club circuit.

I agree!!! The show's gotten rather nasty, and Drew's turned it into a personal political forum.
