Post I need a whistle and a bullhorn

I've got a black and white stripped shirt, all I need's a whistle and my referee outfit is complete.

Anyway, today's RD's birthday and he's a pretty peaceful guy, so I got an idea. How about we all go to neutral corners, cool off for awhile, and then come back out and re-introduce ourselves. Maybe if everyone got to know each other a little better, we wouldn't be so quick to just start an argument with a complete stranger. I'll go first.

I'm 22 and in college. My main interests in life are TV and writing fiction. My favorite shows are I Love Lucy, Adam-12, Family Feud, Match Game, Hogan's Heroes, Route 66 (which I've spent sooo much money on!), The Odd Couple, and Emergency! My favorite entertainment-type people are Richard Dawson, Martin Milner, Lucille Ball, Desi Arnaz Sr. and Jr., George Maharis, Kent McCord, and, uh... well, there are lots. My favorite car is a Corvette, but no, I don't have one. I drive a Cougar. I like apple pie, mexican, and way too many foods to mention. I'm 5'4". I like 50s-early 90s music. The Monkees rock.

Anyway, how about everyone tell us a little about yourself? I don't care what your real name is or how much you weigh if you don't want to tell, or anything else you don't want to tell, but I think it would be friendly to say something.

Peace.

A little bit about me:

I am a late teen in high school and my two main interests are: Lucille Ball and TV. My favorite tv shows are: "I Love Lucy," "The Lucy Show," "Here's Lucy," "The Munsters," "Happy Days," "Laverne & Shirley," "Three's Company," "The Brady Bunch," "Survivor," and "The Weakest Link". My favorite actors are Ron Howard and the talented John Ritter; and My favorite actesses are Lucille Ball, Vivian Vance, Suzanne Somers, Penny Marshall, and Cindy Williams. I have many more comedians that I like a lot. I currently don't have a specific favorite car but I do have my permit and soon will have my license next month ... yeah!!! The foods I enjoy are mac & cheese, pizza, hamburger, and of course desserts! Desserts are the best! I like most music but my favorite kind of music is pop from the 80's to recent.

Good idea, dawsongirl!

Here's a little about me:

I'm 26 and a new bride (I got married the last weekend in September). I wish I could post more on this board, but I have no internet access at work (ugh), so I can only post from home.
My favorite TV shows are I Love Lucy, The Brady Bunch, The Facts Of Life (although the reunion that aired on Sunday was awful!), That '70s Show, Friends, and Survivor (although the current one pretty much sucks). I like just about any kind of music, except rap and heavy metal. '80s music is my favorite, though.

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! Peace!!

Lucy : "That must be my dear friend Ethel. I'll open the door, Fred."
Fred : "Open it?! I was going to lock it!"

Lucy : "Gee, did you hear that, honey? It's going to be called "Bitter Grapes." I wonder what part they want me for."
Fred : "Oh, you're probably going to be one of the bunch."

I should smack myself! I forgot to put that I'm a HUGE NASCAR fan! My favorite driver is Jeff Gordon, who just won the 2001 Winston Cup Championship for the 4th time! Woohoo!

This is going good so far, keep the posts coming!

My name is Patrick Patterson, and I am currently a Sophomore at Rockford High School. My favorite shows are I Love Lucy, Hogan's Heroes, The Dick Van Dyke Show, Gomer Pyle USMC, To Tell The Truth, What's My Line?, I've Got a Secret, and there are, of course, several others, thought we needn't have such a long list :-) My favorite celebrity personalities of past and present are Garry Moore, Steve Allen, David Letterman, Caroline Rhea, Whoopi Goldberg, and then, of course, Lucille Ball. (And, again, we needn't list them all.)

Alrighty then!

My name is Melanie. I'm 15 years old and a sophomore in high school. I live Maine, and I drive a '92 Mercury Tracer (I don't have my license yet, just my permit and a car).
I am kinda short, kinda slim (I look like I'm still 12) and I have blondish brown hair and green eyes. My favorite TV show is I Love Lucy, hands down. My favorite actress of all time is, of course, Lucille Ball. I also like Carol Burnett---she's a riot! And like a lot of teenage girls I like Josh Harnett and Ben Affleck. Mostly I just channel surf, so I watch all kinds of shows....like The Weakest Link, C.S.I., Any Day Now, the E! True Hollywood Story, etc. As for music, I am mostly an oldies girl, but I also listen to rap. I have traveled to Florida, the Bahamas, Washington D.C., and California to attend the Loving Lucy 2001 Convention (thanks Sherry and Patrick!!). I like to have fun and be around other people, and I love chatting with new people online.

I like a lot of different celebrities and things, so if you wanna know, just ask! I can't name them all off the top of my head.

My name is Jennifer, but you can call me Jenny. I'm 17 years old, and a senior in high school. I'm definitely an oldies girl. Some of my favorite shows include, "The Andy Griffith Show", "Gomer Pyle U.S.M.C", "Sanford and Son", "All in the Family", "Diff'rent Strokes", and “The Magnificent Seven”, and recently have gotten to like the television series "The Facts of Life". My favorite actors include Dale Midkiff, Anthony Starke, Andy Griffith, Don Knotts, and Carroll O’ Connor.

I enjoy writing stories. Usually I write some weird and odd stories that should’ve been used as episodes of The Twilight Zone. I love country music, and also a big fan of Elvis. Out of all the places that I would like to go, Graceland is at the top of my list. (Note: You can obviously tell I’m a southern hick by this! )

My favorite things to do in my free time are watch tv, read, watch movies, write stories, and paint my fingernails. I love painting designs on my fingernails. If my writing career ever fails to take off, I at least I have something to fall back on for a profession.

I live in a small little boring town in Georgia. When I say boring, I mean it is BORING! Well, I guess that is it. Nothing particularly exciting about my life, but you know I’m used to it by now. lol
