I love those first two Tennesse Ernie episodes!

I really don't like The Diet; I hardly laughed in that episode...Nearly every episode of ILL has a redeeming quality, if it isn't the best.

The very first shows were dull. I thought the actors over-acted and the plots were stupid comedy.

Sorry....

My least favorite episode is "Lucy Is Envious." The plot is so dumb.
I also don't like "Lucy Goes To Scotland," or most of the Connecticut episodes (because they seemed to signal the beginning of the end).

"Lucy Goes To Scotland" is my least favorite. I think it's stupid when Fred & Ethel get in the dragon suit!

The only I L L eps I don't care much for are several (not all) of the 1st season eps. They were simply broader comedy than they had to be, going way out on a limb all the time... especially where Lucy 'decorates' the apartment like a Cuban villa, with children, chickens, and even a burro! At least 2 others are about the same-- the magazine article ep where she 'goes hunting' where the apt. is like a junkyard, and when she messes it all up for the old man who thinks Lucy is in love with him; that one with about 15 kids! [what did she do?-- grab them off the playground?]

These 1st year eps seemed to follow in the mold of old comedy shorts [The 3 Stooges, Edgar Kennedy, et al]. But perhaps the redeeming facet is that it showed the cast is really funny when they just do character comedy which does not strain believability to that extant. Of course, *most* of the later shows are not entirely believable in some way, but the characters we have come to know remain believable. And that largely made the show; that the beloved foursome were not unbelievable, but still funny because we knew them and how they related.

I LOVE the first season. Except Drafted. That sucked.

Lucy Becomes a Sculptress

Oil Wells

The Golf Game- sorta

Harpo Marx- don't hit me

Lucy Goes to the Rodeo- hated the end

Please don't hit me, but Lucy's Italian Movie- I've never liked it

Lucy's Bicycle Trip

Lucy Meets Orson Welles

Lucy and Superman

And the last two were mediocre as well

Isn't that odd, Dawson?

I don't hate, but I am not particularly fond of Harpo Marx, and although I laughed a bit at Italian Movie, I never laughed as loud as I thought I would. I enjoyed it, but not my favorite.

On the other hand, I loved Golf Game. I laughed for 30 minutes straight!

Oh gosh, how I can I have a least favorite? Hmmmm....this is tough. The only one that I don't really care for that much is Oil Wells....I have no idea why, I just don't care for it much.

I like that episode for one reason and dislike it for another.

Like: "Slack up a bit!" "Ethel, reel me in!!"

Dislike: How at the end, everybody gangs up on Lucy even though all four of them want their money back.

Do not slug me here, but I never like the "Lucy Goes to The Hospital" episode. The only thing I liked about it was when Lucy said,"This is it", and Ricky, Fred, and Ethel started panicing. That's all I got out of it, other than that, the episode was terrible. I also don't like the "Lucy Is Envious" episode, although Lucy and Ethel as Martians was pretty funny.
