Today is the 25th anniversary of the premiere of "Dallas." It premiered on April 2, 1978, and ran until 1991. It spawned a spin-off, "Knots Landing," and two movies, "The War of the Ewings" and "JR Returns."

I really wish Dallas would come back. I used to watch it everyday on TNN and in fact remember watching it when it was originally on.

I just wonder why Soap Net has never shown "Dallas". They show their spin-off "Knots Landing". I know that TNN lost their rights to Dallas when it changed from The Nashville Network to The National Network. I find it very strange indeed that Soap Net has not acquired Dallas to their lineup. I remember the very first episode where Bobby and Pam have gotten married and they are in their red car and went to the gas station. And who can forget "Who Shot J.R.???" And the cliffhangers from later seasons(the fire at Southfork, the woman in the swimming pool,Bobby in the shower) are classic. Hopefully Soap Net will acquire Dallas one of these days.

Wow, 25 years.
I remember how popular "Dallas" was in those days. The whole world seemed to stand still the night they revealed who shot J.R. So "Dallas" fans, who did shoot J.R. Ewing?

The greatest Soap ever! None of the Rip-Offs(Dynasty, Falcon Crest) ever came close to the original concept of Dallas! Although I loved Knots almost as much! Both were very classy shows! How I miss them!
