I was fortunate that with the exception of maybe 2 professors at college everyone that I was taught by was really good and for the most part did a good job. The two that I didn't like both were very arrogent, opinionanted people who would give you a low grade as a form of revenge if you disagree with them!
One of the worst was well over 25 years ago when I was in the 4th grade. I loved all of my grade school teachers, except for the one described below LOL, and we moved twice during my elementary grade years, so I was trying to assimilate myself with different school situations. I remember being diagnosed with some kind of learnig disability so I was gradually moved into a mainstream 4th grade classroom. The year was 1975 and Mr. Woods (a wonderfully cool teacher) wanted to move me into an advanced reading group because despite the problems that I had with math at an early age, I read and wrote very well. So he wanted me to move to a new reading class and with that for 1 hour each day I would have a new teacher. If you have ever seen seen the Married With Children episode with the mean librarian yelling at Al Bundy for returning the 30 year old library book, I swear to God this teacher was the equivlant of that librarian! Her name was Ms. Woodstock and to call her a biitch would be a compliment! hahaha. She hated everything about me. She would call on me to participate every time, I'd make one little mistake and she would just scream at me! She would assign extra work to people that she didn't like. (If you talked, she would double your homework) You would ask her for help and you would get a lecture from her about not following directions or she would thow a hissy fit.........."READ THE BOOK!!!!!!!" I don't think that I ever did one thing that was good enough for her. I remember a time when I actually did real well on a vocabulary quiz or some homework that I thought for once she was going to say something nice to me. For some reason, she never checked the homework and we had to read from our readers for that day. Our assignments were in this reading folder that she would "check" Horror of horror I was so busy studying my vocabulary homework that I had forgotten to put my reading folder in with the vocabulary stuff! So naturally, she wants to check or reading folders instead of going over the vocabulary!!! LOL! 40 friggin students in the class and I am the first one called on! (again!) I swear to God this woman was a terrorist! I'm on the brink of ultimate nervousness to the point of crying and I am just shaking and think that I am going to throw up....Being the cold-evil concited bittch that she is........"Will you read the first one for us Jack?" So I have to stmamor out....Ummmm...."Ms. Woodstock, I don't have may reading folder?" In 38 years of my life no one parents, relatives, friends, or family has ever responded with the screaming and cold-hearted vindicted hate that she gave me...She walked over to my desk with evil in her eyes and had one of the biggest all-time ****e-fits anybody ever had: YOU HAVVVVEEEE TO HAVVVVEE YOUR READDING FOLDER!!!!!!!!!!!" and she smacked something down on my desk. I have never been so frightened and I really don't remember anything after that. I told my regular teacher about what had happend. (This was the climax of months of horror with this woman) and eventually he got me out of there and back to his class. Several months later we moved and I resumed 4th grade at a new school and had one of the greatest teachers of all time...Mr. Kraut. He told jokes, interacted great with the kids, and was as funny as Bill Cosby! Great man! But that 4th grade incident with "The Beast from Beyond" is something that I will never forget ever! It's really interesting what a difference a teacher can make. Jack |

The worst teacher I have ever had was my 7th grade study skills and math teacher. I'll just put it this way: to say she is mean is an understatement. She wrote me up for doing stuff I didn't do and not listen to my side, she grabbed me by the arm and took me to the Principal's office several times. At least I go to a school where everybody listens.

My senior year Algebra II teacher. She was a ******* bitch. I hate her as a teacher and I hate her as a person- she was that bad. Im sure the feeling was mutual. I didnt do anything to her and I was a good student! Given I got bad grades- but I payed attention and didnt distrupt the class!! Of course, the kids who got A's and B's could do just about anything because they got a 98!! Big friggan deal! No one rolls their eyes @ me and expects me to like them!! UGH! I never had a problem with school or teachers-- but she ruined it. I even tried switching or dropping out of the class. You shouldnt have to bitch and moan everyday after school because of a teacher.

My meanist teacher probably would be my 10th grade Biology teacher. If you messed up even once on a quiz he would be all over you and said everyone should have gotten an A in that class, well in my whole 10th grade class the highest grade was a C, the smartest kid in my class got a C+ in that class. I'm glad I only had him that one year, no one could put up with him.

The meanest teacher I ever had was my 9th grade social studies teacher. When he marked, he marked so low. At midterm when he was handing out the progress reports, he said the lowest mark in the class was a 10. I felt like saying, what was the highest mark? 49? And, you had to write essays exactly the way he wanted them written. (And, not the basic intro, theory, proof, analysis, conclusion stuff) If word the essay exactly the way he wanted you to word it, he would fail you. I still remember my marks from that year. A 28 at midterm and a 36 for a final mark.

Both my HS gym teachers. They were both drill sergeants, and they both expected you to do more than you were capable of and treated you like **** when you couldn't. Coincidentally, they were also the only teachers I ever mouthed off at.
My fourth grade teacher was jealous of me because I was smarter than she was (seriously - I had to spell things for her all the time), so she made my life hell. I STILL hate her. |

All of them from hs basically...some that really stick out:
freshman algebra teacher (the first one): she embarrased me in front of the entire class and yelled at the class while she taught...a little distracted freshman music teacher: he hit some girl for not playing the bongo's right freshman chorus teacher: wrote everyone up, told everyone they were evil and teenagers are evil people freshman science: guys prayers were 50 minutes long, would teach for the last 5 mins of class..noone understood a thing and he always let us out 2 minutes after the bell ring, because "bells should not rule our lives" and he wouldnt right notes if we were late to the following class...idiot this years spanish teacher: i swear shes has ocd, she continues to embarrass me and shows absolutly no emotion/ sence of humor soph geometry teacher- he was a drunk, and a druggy...and he had a monotone voice that was SO annoying...i hate the teachers at my school |

My 11th grade english teacher. She always screwed up everybodys grades, and when someone told her she was wrong she got all bitchy. Then when she went back and figured out she was wrong, she was even more mean. I think about everyone of her students has cussed her out at one time. plus a few of the parents.
