Default Roseanne's Baby

When the hell was the baby born. I was watching the season 8 Halloween episode where she has it. Then shes pregnant again and then suddenly she has a baby.

Seems to me that the ep. called DIRECT TO VIDEO (ROSEANNE makes a video to her unborn child, who was actually born 4 ep. earlier) added some confusion to the show. TBS does air them as ABC did so they were ment to go that way. Direct To Video was obviously shot earlier then it would seem because Dan still had the beard...

I guess that ep. wasn't sopossed to mean too much to the rest of the series and was just showing what happened on that particular day while she was making the video...

Whaever the reasons for doing it as they did, it was sure confusing to the viewers...

I thought that Roseanne's 4th pregnancy and child is what ruined the show. Once Roseanne was pregnant, then the show stopped being that realistic.

I don't know why it was shown out of order either. It was definitely confusing.

What made Roseanne more unrealistic and not-as-good, was that Roseanne and Dan were way too old to have another kid again. People they're age do not have kids when the three children they already have are already very much older. Becky was already married, and here her parents were, talking about having another child.

The fact also that this pregnancy lasted 13 months!

Default The "Direct to Video" episode

If I recall correctly, that episode was originally scheduled to air the same day that the OJ Simpson verdict ended up being announced. That would make it the third aired episode of the eighth season.

After the OJ Simpson verdict was announced earlier that day, ABC reshuffled their schedule for that day, in order to have some specials in regards to the OJ verdict. Roseanne was bumped off the schedule for that night, and Home Improvement was shifted to the 8:00 slot.

Thus in order to keep the halloween episode on halloween, they had to keep the series on schedule. So the extra episode that was missed because of the OJ verdict finally got aired a little later on.

So that episode should be the third episode of the season. You can blame it all on OJ Simpson...
