What do you all think of the name Jameson for a boy? I have only heard of this as a last name, never a first name. My sister-in-law is going to have a baby and she picked this name out. My brothers name is James and Jameson means Son of James. I think it's a nice name and doesn't sound real trendy. What do you all think? Does it sound too last nameish? Do you think he will be teased for having an unusual name?

He wouldnt be teased. People will probably shorten it anyways and call him James or Jimmy. Yah, I remember learning in 8th grade that they used to add "SON" to the name of the father.

No, I don't think that he would be teased. I think that Jameson is a cute name, and the meaning behind it is really neat also!

My friend's boyfriend is named Jameson. I think its a cool name...and no he wont be teased...at least i dont think so.

I used to know a kid named Jamerson and that's pretty much the same name. I think it's a neat name.

I don't like the name Jameson, It's a bit last-nameish, like the guy Jameson that was in some spiderman cartoons, I think It was his last name too, he probably wouldn't be teased, but It'd be shortened to James anyways, cos Jameson sounds as though a Middle initial should always be quoted afterwards.
