I feel once the 80's arrived, Fonzie should have had a more mature appearance. He was getting older, Richie, Ralph, or Potsie were no longer around and he even became a teacher. So i just feel the Fonzie character could have eventually retired that leather jacket I didn't see a need for the Fonzie character to maintain that COOL image once the show reached it's 9th and 10th season. It was time for Fonzie to carry hisself more like a mature adult instead of a teenager. Any thoughts on this?

I see so many guys and some gals in their 40's and up, bringing out their black leather jackets and growing their hair long, like they are going back to their younger days. For them it was a simplier time. Maybe Fonzie would have hung up his jacket for awhile or maybe not. But if he did, I know he would have dusted it off ( or polished it ) and put it back on. I could see him 40 something and getting on his Harley. No matter what he's wearing The Fonz will always be The Fonz. The coolest of the cool.

Fonzie still could have a more mature attire. Let's face it, after a while it's time to dress like a mature adult. When he had a steady girl who had a daughter and became a family man, that's when the leather jacket should have been gone. |

Actually I found that light colored sports jacket, he wore with his jeans a few times, very attractive on him.

I like him in the leather jacket, the windbreaker looked good to though.

The producers still should have changed the appearance of his the Fonzie character once he settled down with Ashely. |
