LEIGH ANN: Welcome, everyone to our first Mary board awards! I am your host, MamaFan! Even though I made up my username from the great 80's show, "Mama's Family," Mary has to be my favorite show of the 70's!
I hope you all enjoy our show this evening. I have picked several members, depending on how active they are, to be presenters.
*By the way, I got this idea from BeaversBiggestFan on the "Leave it to Beaver" board who got it from Chad Doody on the Happy Days board. I hope you two don't mind, if you're reading this, that I brought this idea over to the Mary board. (to liven it up a little!)
So, enjoy the first Mary Tyler Moore board awards!

Rhoda: Mary had the worst parties anybody can have. This award goes to her best bad parties.

Mary: I don't know why I have the worst parties. Every time I have a party, I try to make it the best darn party everyone's been to. I even had Johnny Carson over at my apartment, one time, and even that turned out to be a disaster! But, anyway, thanks for honoring my parties! Maybe now, they won't be so bad.

LA: Everyone's favorite season are Season 3, Season 4, and Season 5!

LA: Our next presenter is the head of the newsroom, Lou Grant.
Lou: This award goes to everyone's favorite person in my newsroom. If I had my vote, I wouldn't even had voted for him.

Lou: I'm going to open it, Ted, just hang on! Well, ladies and gentlemen, the winner is...Ted Baxter!

Ted: I want to thank everyone who made this award possible, you all know who you are. And, it all started in a 5000 watt radio station in Fresno, California.

LA: This next catagory is everyone's favorite guest star episode. And the winners are...Walter Cronkite, Johnny Carson, and Betty Ford! I'm glad everyone won. I like those episodes too.

LA: Our next presenter is Phyllis Lindstrom!

Phyllis: Since I am the manager of our apartment building, it should be me who presents this next award. And, it is for the best apartment.

Mary Richards!

Mary: I love my apartment! I'm glad you think so too. I don't know why I made that move to my second apartment. I missed my first one so much. It was such a friendly building to be in. But, I like both my apartments so I'm happy with this award!

Well that was more than I expected! I just assumed it was going to be a post with a simple listing of categories and winners. Great job, MamaFan! (I just can't bring myself to call you "MF".)

Thanks to everyone who participated and a special thank you to those who acknowledged me. (I thought you were just going to throw the awards at us!)

This award confers great honor, along with certain financial benefits. It will be Contract time very soon; thanks to you, Father Dannenbrink and I can reallly put the screws to the bigshots!
