Why did it take a year for "Mama's Family" to come back for syndication????And why did Betty White Make only one appearance on the syndication version?

First off,it took 2 years for Mama's Family to go into syndication with new episodes. I guess they wanted to develop something that would bring it back. Also, Betty White in the 1986 episode where she was in the hospital for a tummy tuck,was in "The Golden Girls" at the time along with Rue and Bea Arthur and Estelle Getty on NBC. So it was possibly just a one time deal with Betty since she was with another network and another show.
