Default Gum in school

Next time you should tell your teacher you should be able to chew gum in school. Because I read in the newspaper , my techer told me and, from other people it's good for your brain and helps you think and concentrate better.

lol most ppl in school do anyways, and some teachers even let you. I don't get why not. It's really not a big deal. Our library is SO bad with that. They're afraid it might fall outta our mouths and get stuck in the books. One of my friends got a detention just for having gum in there. Seriously though, we're not that stupid...we can keep a piece of gum in our mouths. Fools...

I can in most of my classes. I recently realized that its not a good idea to do it in the computer lab....my english teacher made me throw away my last piece of gum. *sobs* Yah. But the teachers who don't let yoo are the ones who are more concered about their furniture/floors than anything else.

the main reason gum/candy is not allowed in most schools is bc students have no respect for things that aren't theirs. They will put gum under the desks or chairs just bc they are too lazy to put it in a trash can. They will leave trash in the desks. Its incredibly immature, and the main reason whey most schools don't allow it. If y'all would grow up and act a little bit more mature about it, you would probably be allowed to eat/chew it.

True. Kids ARE like that. I would never do that, though. It's really stupid when you have a freakin garbage can right there...

When I was in Middle and High School they didn't care if you chewed gum. Gum chewing was not allowed in Elementary school though because some kid choked on a wad of gum.

Most of my teachers don't care about gum chewing, as long as you're not twirling it around or sticking it in your hair.

We are not supposed to.... half the teachers care, half of them don't. Hell, some of them even give you gum
