Cool Cheers or Seinfeld?

I think Cheers is one of the best TV shows of all-time. It's so funny and heart-warming, the kind of sitcom that we need to see more of on TV. I can watch it over and over again and still laugh out loud each time.

OTOH, I never understood the appeal of Seinfeld. I think the characters are highly unlikeable and the humor is very mean-spirited. I'll take Cheers over Seinfeld any day.

I'm not a big fan of either show, but if I had to choose, I'd say "Cheers."

If not for "Cheers," there probably wouldn't be "Wings."

I've said before that I use to watch Seinfeld, just not anymore in reruns.

as much as i lked Cheers, I have to say Seinfeld, the storylines were much more interesting one reason being that they were not all set in a bar

Default cheers wasn't always heart warming

I cannot say that seinfeld was warm there is a cynism and arrogance of both bostonians and new yorkers and those sentiments are defiantly portrayed on those shows,Carla is the biggiest example of that.her general treatment of customers was rude, unproffessional,ifI had been rude like that I would have been fired.I realize for comedic license there needs to be a protagonist to play off of,but she rarely showed any warmth at all.As far as creative plotlines seinfeld might have been the most inventive.Cheers was a 1 note joke mostly sam/Diane.Sam/Rebecca/or the same sam malone going after women.Seinfeld allowed everyone to shine and brought on other actors to shine.I can say the writing was great and the chemistry of the actors were great.the Charles brothers and J.Burrows were the heart and soul of what made cheers a great show. And larry David And seinfeld for seinfeld were to there show. The writing,Cast for both shows are legendary though.

Seinfeld all the way! Cheers had some good characters & good writing, but would've been much better w/ Fred Dryer (or anyone else) instead of Ted danson. Frasier's a great show & I continue to watch it--hope they spinoff Frasier in the end as well. Too bad that Seinfeld-spinoff with Kramer's lawyer never panned out--i'm sure that would've been good.

I think they are both great shows.

But if I could only have one of them it would be Cheers.

I don't really like either show, but I can tolerate Cheers. Seinfeld is so extremely overrated. It is not the least bit funny.
