LOS ANGELES (Zap2it.com) - "American Idol" host Ryan Seacrest is looking to parlay his hosting duties on the FOX hit into a new TV job.
Seacrest, a Los Angeles radio DJ and sometime TV host before becoming a household name on "Idol," is talking with Twentieth Television, the syndication arm of 20th Century Fox, about a daily syndicated show, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Twentieth isn't commenting, and details are sketchy at the moment as to what form the show would take. The project will reportedly be built around Seacrest's personality and interviewing skills, yet it won't be a traditional talk show. That likely means Seacrest would move out of the studio for certain segments. "American Idol" wasn't Seacrest's first on-camera job. He's served as host of TNN's "Ultimate Revenge" and worked on a handful of other shows, including a stint as a correspondent for "Extra." |
