My Miss Michigan(for whom I babysat years ago) came in third. But I couldn't watch the pageant or tape it because I don't have local or network stations on my satillite.
Did anybody else happen to watch? Miss Massachusetts won.

"It has given me a new definition of Southern hospitality." Castillo was the first Hispanic Miss Massachusetts USA. ![]() "Hopefully I can eliminate (negative) stereotypes that there are about Latin American people," she told reporters after being crowned. Miss USA will receive, among her many prizes, a yearlong salary as Miss USA, a riverside apartment in New York City for her reign (complete with housekeeper, laundry service and ground transportation), a pearl and diamond tiara from Mikimoto valued at $17,500, a $20,000 wardrobe allowance, a two-year scholarship ($45,000) to the School for Film and Television, and yearlong dermatology and dental services. Miss Mass was really pretty. I still was rooting for Miss Michigan and although she didn't win the title, at least she placed in the top 3. Way to go Miss Michigan!
Ok I have a question. Do they still hold the Miss Michigan pagent in Muskegon MI? |

My mom and I just found out that Miss Michigan and I both went to WELS Lutheran elementary schools. Since we are both around the same age, we probably competed at the same track meets. Small world huh.

Now, I've been wondering...is there a difference between Miss USA and Miss America? Are they the same thing?
