I know we have at least a couple people on this board that are from NY, so if and when you get to a computer, please let us know everyone's okay. We'll be thinking about everyone in NY and Washington.

There's too much sadness in the world. It's hard to understand how people can act the way they do. I am becoming more and more depressed every day. It's hard t be happy in a world like this. I pray for all you people who lost someone. Suzie

Sad

This just feels like a horrible nightmare that I can't wake up out of. I am appalled at what is going on and needless to say, scared as hell for what is going to happen next. My heart, thoughts, and prayers go out to anyone who has had family and loved ones directly involved with the terrorist acts yesterday. Nevertheless, this affects *everyone* so everyone please pray for peace. I hope you are all ok.

And I know this isn't essentially important, but it's still a life lost, and is especially sad for me since I am a big Frasier fan. The producer of Frasier, David Angell, and his wife were aboard AA flight 11 from Boston to LA to make it to tomorrow's scheduled, routine script reading for the upcoming episode with the cast and for the Emmy's. Needless to say, they never made it.

God bless us all.

New York City is an absolute disaster zone.

I work in NY but thankfully, my office is uptown so I was nowhere near the crash. I live in NJ and it took me 6-7 hours to get home. I had to walk 50 blocks to get to the ferry to NJ and I didn't have walking shoes on, if you know what I mean. The city is filled with smoke and broken hearts. Everyday, as I journeyed into NY, I could see the beautiful skyline. It's destroyed now. My office was closed today, which is just as well because my feet are still swollen and cut up. The Lincoln and Holland Tunnels and George Washington Bridge are still closed. I suspect there are more terrorists in the area. The police stopped a van filled with explosives at Giants' Stadium last night. Disasters don't get worse than this one.

I thought I could lift my spirits by logging on to this site but it's not working. I didn't mean to ramble on like this and I hope I haven't depressed anyone, . . . anymore than they already are. New Yorkers are a tough group but it's so hard not to be afraid as Mayor Guiliani wants us to be. I'll never travel through the Lincoln Tunnel again without fearing for my life.

Glad to know you're okay Terry! Since I didn't know where you worked, I didn't know if you were close to it or not. And I hope your feet get better.

It would be pretty hard to depress me anymore than I already am. I didn't even go to class yesterday. I just can't imagine what those people are going through, but I guess we have to have faith that we will all pull through (even though I seriously lost A LOT of faith in everything yesterday.) And I know they want to keep us informed on TV, but all this coverage is making me sick. I went to bed with it and I woke up with it. It wasn't even anything new.

I don't know. Let's just hope the worst is over and revenge is quick and safe.

dawsongirl - - I work uptown, which was no where near the World Trade Center. I just can't comprehend this nightmare and to thinkthat the authorities believe that there are more terrorists in the area is even more frightening. I'm still stranded at home with major transportation problems. My only real comfort right now is that New York is filled with police, FBI, secret service, and navy personnel.

It remains to be seen if our lives will ever be the same.

Doubtful. Similar, but not the same.
