Paul i dont know where you got that from but thats wrong CBS did reject the piolet but still picked up the show and it debuted Oct 4 57 on CBS after the first season CBS Dropped it and then it was picked up by ABC it started its 5 year run on ABC in OCT 1957

I am not wrong. "LITB" did air on ABC its whole 6 years. My uncle Joey from Indiana told me that he remembers it like it was yesterday.

well he remembers wrong because i have stuided leave it to beaver and the fact still remains that it aired its first season on CBS not ABC

I need factual information regarding this question:

How many commercials were shown per episode during LITB's original run? (My guess is no more than 2) Also, what were these commercials like concerning the products they endorsed? Too bad that by most accounts we are missing 2-3 minutes of lines and scenes from EVERY EPISODE! (25+ minutes in original run) (23-24 minutes in syndicate/cable now)

At least LITB isn't butchered nearly as bad as many of the other sitcoms on cable/syndicate now.

It is true that TV Land lets the scenes on LITB play out rather than cut in the middle of scenes which takes away from their intented emotional punch.
